Have used the Upgrade assitance (UA) for Windows 8 pro - purchased the product through it - was not ready to upgrade the product at that precise time as UA was asking to remove two apps due to incompatibility. So I saved the product as an ISO file with the provided product key. The UA was closed.
Later from various forums learned that those two applications will work with Windows 8 pro, just that those drivers will be appropriately get added when installing under Windows 8. After I uninstalled the two applications.
