Sonic After the Sequel is set after the events of Sonic 2 (as the name indicates), designed to fill the gap between the events of Sonic 2 and Sonic 3. It's a simple to the point plot expressed nicely through its cutscenes and whilst not as engaging a plot as BtS, the cutscenes are more charming and are really brought to life more thanks to each one having its own individual composition. This game runs off the Sonic Worlds engine just as the previous did so it feels for the most part pretty tight and whilst not 1:1 with the classic titles still functions very well for the most part and offers a satisfying gameplay experience.
