The V/E is the first thing you will do most of your tuning in, all other tables will use the V/E in it’s adjustment, which means if the V/E is not correct, then the other controls will be off, like cold start, engine warm up, and even acceloration is affected. Because of this, on a new tune, the order the want to start your tuning will be. Start engine, get it to as much of a stable rpm as you can get, and check and/or set timing., then allow the engine to get up to around 130 degrees, then start tuning the V/E table to get the HEGO or hopefully UEGO sensor in the exhaust to match the target air / fuel ratio.
